N. Adam Brown, MD, MBA, FACEP
Dr. Brown is the medical director and chairman of the department of emergency medicine at United Medical Center in Washington, DC. In addition to his role at United Medical Center, he works for the North Division of EmCare, Inc. — the nation’s leading provider for outsourced emergency physician services. There, Dr. Brown holds the position as a regional medical director for quality where he works on operational and quality based issues within the region. He also is a divisional recruitment champion and documentation champion, where he has successfully recruited numerous talented providers and improved provider reimbursements.
Dr. Brown is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and sits on the national committee for emergency medicine practice improvement where he co-chairs the subcommittee for psychiatric emergency medicine practice.
Dr. Brown earned his undergraduate degrees (BS) from Campbell University in biological sciences and foreign languages and his medical degree from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Dr. Brown completed his residency in emergency medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
