Steven A. Farmer, MD, PhD, FACC, FASE
Dr. Farmer is a practicing cardiologist with specialized expertise in echocardiography. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Echocardiography. Dr. Farmer currently is an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. His experience includes management consulting to the life sciences industry, including pharmaceutical business strategy and healthcare operations work.
He has also worked with a venture capital firm on investment screenings and as the interim Director of Clinical Affairs for a portfolio investment. He serves on various committees at the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology. Dr. Farmer has received numerous honors and awards and has published extensively.
Dr. Farmer earned his bachelor’s degree in international relations from Stanford University. As a British Marshall Scholar, he received his doctorate in Health Services Research & Policy from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Dr. Farmer received his MD degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his internship, residency in internal medicine, and fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at University of Pennsylvania.
