Prasad Kilaru, MD, MBA
Dr. Kilaru has been on medical staff at Washington Hospital, Fremont California for the last twelve years. He specializes in hand and reconstructive plastic surgery. Dr. Kilaru is an active member of the Washington Hospital Medical Staff leadership. He has previously served as the Chairman of the Department of Surgery and has been the Chairman of the Quality and Resource Management Committee for the past six years. He has been a member of the Medical Executive Committee during that time as well. Dr. Kilaru has been the Director of the Wound Care Program at Washington hospital since 2004 and of the Hand Surgery program since 2009.
He has been involved in several startup and health related ventures as a co-founder/medical director including, an outpatient surgery center, a medical day spa as well as a medical billing and transcription company. Dr. Kilaru volunteers his surgical skills to those less fortunate on a regular basis, going back to his birth country of India and providing free surgical care to indigent patients.
Dr. Kilaru finished his medical education from Guntur Medical College, India and surgical residency from Bay State Medical Center affiliated with Tufts University. He completed plastic surgery residency at the University of Southern California followed by hand surgery and microsurgery fellowship at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute and the University of Southern California. Dr. Kilaru received an Executive MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
